Pecan Sandies: a cross between shortbread (rich!) and a drop cookie (easy to eat.)

Rich from the butter and pecans. Easy to eat because you can just plop a spoonful of cookie dough onto the baking sheet – rather than baking the whole lot in a pan and cutting the cookies into pieces – and miracle of miracles, the dough is soft so this cookie doesn't crumble.

Prep time: 15 minutes
Bake time: 12-15 minutes
Makes about 4 dozen
